Open API

Now, you can adopt Bloomberg’s programming interfaces without cost or restriction. The widely used Bloomberg API, with its proven and comprehensive interface, supports publish/subscribe and request/response paradigms, as well as authorization and entitlements. Bloomberg intends to work with its customers and the open community to further enhance and extend this powerful technology for financial applications and beyond.

NOTE: Bloomberg is offering this programming interface (BLPAPI) under a free-use license. This license does not include nor provide access to any Bloomberg data or content. If you wish to use this API to access Bloomberg data, you will need a Bloomberg service subscription, and should contact the nearest Bloomberg sales office in your region.
